New Products!

FRAMES

Don’t just get a print, get a gift! Whether this is something special just for you, or a gift for a special friend, the high quality finishing touch of framing means these prints can go straight from the box to the wall.

All prints are mounted to a suitable backing and framed either with or without a mat at your preference. Frame colors are brown or black and you can choose between either white or off-white for the matted frames. These frames are available in many sizes from as small as 4×6 to as large as 20×30.

ACRYLIC PRINTS

These prints offer eye popping clarity by using the light gathering capabilities of crystal clear acrylic to magnify the beauty of a printed image.  Photographic images are printed in a giclee process for maximum depth, detail and saturation and then affixed to the back of the acrylic panel.   The effect is stunning.

There are two reasons these prints are special.  The first is pure sex appeal.  Anyone who has seen one will tell you that there is really nothing like them as a vehicle to highlight the beauty of a powerful image.  The second is physics.  The acrylic panel actually gathers and magnifies light in much the same fashion as a glass globe around a candle.  The effect is that the images look almost backlit when sitting next to a standard printed image.

BAMBOO PRINTS

Bamboo prints are a gorgeous and unique way to display your photos.  Turn your photos into a stunning piece of art or give bamboo prints as a gift! Bamboo is an eco-friendly, renewable resource that provides a subtle but distinctive texture and warmth to your image.

These prints are to be considered a giclée print, which means “sprayed ink” and refers to a fine art print that is archival in nature.  These prints are directly printed onto a bamboo substrate, mounted on ¼”-backing with a recessed frame and hanging hardware. In addition, the bamboo is treated with a proprietary receiving layer to further ensure that vibrancy and color do not fade with time.

4th annual Scott Kelby World Wide Photo Walk

That’s right! It’s almost that time of the year again and Fort Wayne will be participating in another World Wide Photo Walk! Photo Walk 2011!

This year will be a little different however, as there will be two walks on two different days. In the past, this has been a one day only (Saturday) event but has been extended to Sunday as well! That means no matter what your schedule looks like – we have a time for you!

I will be leading Sunday’s walk and we will begin in Headwaters Park’s parking lot. From there we will meander through the streets of Fort Wayne making our way past the courthouse, up by the Embassy, back down to Columbia street and finishing up back at Headwaters. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to meet up for some grub/drinks as well all talk shop and enjoy each others photographs.

After the walk, you are invited to share some of your images in a couple different ways. There is a competition portion of the walk that everyone is encouraged to participate in but is by no means required. There will be prizes awarded so you may want to think about it. More info on that here.
There will also be a Flickr group for both days. Post as many images as you want or as few as you want. But don’t feel like you have to!

This event is FREE and open to the public. Novice through professionals are all welcome. The only camera requirement is that you have one! Point and shoots, 35mm, Polaroids, entry level DSLRs through professional $10k bodies – everything is welcome and encouraged.

To find out more about the walks, follow the below links:

Server down-time

The service I use to manage and schedule my appointments will be undergoing server maintenance tomorrow. As such, I will not be able to access accounts, schedule appointments and a few other tasks. This shouldn’t affect many, if anyone out there because of the time they will be taken down. From the service providers site:

“The ShootQ App will be down for maintenance and moving starting at 9pm PDT on Monday, August 15. So that you don’t have to pull out a calculator, here’s the scoop:

West Coasters: The app will go offline on Monday, 9 pm PDT and will be back no later than 6 am Tuesday Morning.

East Coasters: The app will go offline at Midnight EDT on Tuesday and be back no later than 9 am Tuesday Morning.”

If, for some reason, you need assistance during these times – please do not hesitate to contact me!
